Minister supports renewable planning policy 06/12/2006
Following a review of local planning policy, Yvette Cooper, Minister for Housing and Planning has shown continued support for the wider implementation of Merton-style planning policies.

"In particular the Government expects all planning authorities to include policies in their development plans that require a percentage of the energy in new developments to come from on-site renewables"
